This product sticks the heat generation element on an aluminum plate, and its center spacer separates the object which needs to be dried from the heat-conducting air in the case. This can avoid damage to the object due to accidental excessive heat. 
Forced convection air will circulate through the ventilation slots and rid your device of moisture.
If humidity is particularly high or there is excess perspiration, simply use the longer 4-hour drying setting.
